Security+ Certification
Certification Exams
CompTIA's Security+ certification exam covers the foundations of information security. The exam is targeted at professionals with at least 2 years of networking experience and thorough knowledge of TCP/IP.
The test covers a breadth of security knowledge not confined to any specific vendor. The CompTIA Security+ certification exam was last updated in December of 2002.
The Security+ exam tests ad demonstrates that you have the aptitude and ability to master these five domain areas:
- General Security Concepts (30%)
- Communications Security (20%)
- Infrastructure Security (20%)
- Basics of Cryptography (15%)
- Operational/Organizational Security (15%)
