Next week you and your friends will leave on vacation for Venice, Italy. Your friends have asked you to find out the current weather conditions so they will know what type of clothing to pack for the trip. You decide to use the Internet to find a weather site. Then you will use Excel to create professional-looking charts that you can give to your friends.
Click the link to CNN
to do your research. Print the page that shows the four-day forecast for Venice, Italy.
Create a worksheet and enter the high temperature and low temperature for each of the four days. Use standard abbreviations for the days of the week (Sun, Mon, Tues, etc.). Use the table design below as a model for your worksheet.
Save the worksheet as Weather Graphs to your Excel Internet Assignments disk.
Double-click the Sheet1 tab and then change its name to Weather Data.
Create a clustered 3-D column chart with bars for the high and low temperatures. The chart title is Venice's Four-Day Forecast. The Category (X) axis is Day, and the Value (Z) axis is Temp.
Place the chart as an object in Sheet2, and then change the name of the sheet to Column Chart.
Create another chart of your choice for the four-day forecast. You choose the chart title, and then add the appropriate labels for the different data series. Place the chart as an object in Sheet3, and then rename the sheet with an appropriate name.
Insert a new sheet at before the Weather Data sheet. (Hint: Select the first sheet, click Insert on the menu bar, and then click Worksheet.) Rename the sheet as Title Sheet, and then add your name, date created, purpose of the workbook, and a brief description of each worksheet.
Save the workbook.
Print the entire workbook, and then close it.
