Computer and Digital Forensics Unleashed

Presented by Amelia Phillips, Highline Community College, Course Technology Author

Thursday, March 1, 2007
2:00 - 3:15 PM

As we become more and more dependent upon our computers, desktops, laptops, palmtops, PDAs, cellphones, memory sticks, and other technologies, the more dangerous the virtual world becomes. We store our vital information on them. Criminals not only try to access this information but use digital devices to commit and record crimes. As the courts come to grips with the laws and precedents needed to convict, digital forensic investigators need to be able to deal with the new challenges facing them. This talk will examine the basics of digital investigations along with the obstacles facing you in the classroom.
