Learn About Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 may be the most exciting revision the software has seen in over ten years! The brand new re-designed user interface (UI) has simplified and sped up the process for creating professional, polished documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases.
Here are some of the highlights of the new Microsoft Office features across the applications:
The Ribbon
Goodbye Menus and Toolbars! The Ribbon is the core feature of the new user interface. It provides an easy-to-browse, central location for all commands in each application. The Ribbon groups tools by task, making it easier than ever to find what you’re looking for.
Contextual Tabs
Contextual Tabs appear within the Ribbon and make it easy to edit, format, and manipulate objects in documents. When an object such as a chart or image is selected, a series of contextual tabs appears for common tasks related to that object. When the object is no longer being edited, contextual tabs go away.
Galleries
Galleries simplify the process of choosing which type of option, style, or theme you would like for your image or object. They provide a clear set of simple results you can choose instead of the traditional dialog boxes.

Live Preview
Want a live preview of exactly what will happen if you chose a certain formatting option? Live Preview does just that, as you move your pointer over a formatting option, it shows how your document would appear, given the change.

The Microsoft Office Button
Need to save, print or share your document? The Microsoft Office Button pools all those tools that help you share, save, and manage your documents into a centralized drop down menu.

XML Files Format
Microsoft has introduced a file format new to the Microsoft Office 2007 applications. XML Files Format are compact, dynamic files that allow you to easily share files across a variety of programs, such as open-source software. XML files improve security by easily detecting and removing sensitive personal information. Users of Office 2000, XP, and 2003 documents can continue open, save and edit after installing the compatibility pack from Microsoft Online.
